A chance for folks to meet..
I had this 1st set and really enjoyed listening to it especially in 85
The thing was -this was the Grateful Dead I was going to see.
I loved all my classic tapes but this was right in front of me.
I listened to this entire show before sitting down to review it
and I got to say this show stands the test of time.
1st set sweet. I like the tune selection.
Dancin>Bertha to start and Rain &Snow>MUSIC to close.
A great Tom Thumbs!
2nd Set Scarlet >Eyes>GDTRFB
and Weir gets a Truckin>TOO and a Around >Saturday Night
This is a loose , well played ,outside the box show
also probably proof that a DAY JOB encore
was not an indication of anything in particular.
You might want a ballad encore for your sweetheart
but the DAY JOB had some rocking balls to it.

9 to 5 and a place to crash"

1985 certainly strikes one as a year of transition. Song choices and placements within the set are not what we had come to expect since Brent joined the band. This show is a perfect illustration.

Great sound to this one..You can feel the electricity through the music..Sparking on all cylinders!! I love the son selection from start to finish..The Ramble on Rose is ever so nice in the 1st set..I will also mention the killer Scarlet>Eyes>GDTFB>Woman R Smarter to start a sweet 2nd set>> Yeah Boy..Also a nice The Wheel out of space and a haunting Black Peter..so please>GIVE IT A WHIRL!!! Forever Grateful>Forever Dead@!@!@!@!

This is just an awesome show with great Charlie Miller sound. Jerry was so strung out in '85 you never knew what you were going to get but he brought his A game to this show!

I'm liking it!
Great sound. Great Miller Remaster!
The Scarlet>Eyes>GDTRFB is superb. Eyes gets a little iffy on lyrics but well overlook that for excellent playing. This segue also has REAL transitions, not just STOP then GO. This show is proof for some in these uneven times. Generally I like later on in 85 a little better, but this show is special. Great setlist and arrangement of tunes.
Phil is up, so is brent, i'm in!@}}
